Duke placed several candidates. To the toilet.
First Duke can't retain talent. Keohane, Gelpi, and Ward all left. Second it has zero faculty that can credibly teach methods. To the detriment of its student Duke has decided to only be competitive in theory, which by itself is useless on the job market and ironically has not benefitted its theory phd students who never get placed.
Trainwreck of a department.
At Duke you can get MA in Stats from one of the top Stats departments in the country. Whether you are able to connect stats to theory/political science, that is another debate.
