MB CLA 250 AMG, AWD
Mazda 3
Audi A7 quattro
Lexus F
Honda Accord sport
What would you drive out of this list?
Probably the Audi. Mercedes' current designs are all a little too flashy for my taste. Lexus is like a bad laxative - it just don't move me. The others aren't even a question for me.
Of course you'd say the 85k audi...
The CLA is all style and no-substance, an entry level Benz for entry level sales and marketing people who want the badge but can't afford a proper MB. You're better off getting a used C-class instead.

Yeah i noted that in another thread. Thing is, i don't like any other benz. I'm apparently not a pretentious f**k like you.
I’m not pretentious. I love cars. I love driving. I wouldn’t buy a cla because it’s not a drivers car and while it looks great, it is not up to MB standards under the skin.
This is not an unusual view. All the trade publications agree.
I don't doubt that. I picked up on it as soon as i saw the price. I currently drive a yaris...
Also, I would drive none of the cars on that list. For the same kind of money you could buy an e46 m3 (with a real 6-speed manual, not SMG), b7 RS4, or a c63 AMG. I would drive one of those.
First, not in the market for an m3. Second, same kind of money? The audi is the only "real" car on that list. Everything else is sub 50k.
The Lexus is about 40k overpriced. Mazda 3 because, honestly, it's not too far off from the other cars on the list but substantially cheaper. Or, the Audi. It's a legit beast.
Off the list, Focus Hatch sports or a 3 Series (though I don't like the new gen, they've gotten too big)

All new bmws look lame. Focus is lame af. Mz3 is the most sensible. I did like the new accord. It's just big.

I had a brand new 3 as a loaner last time my bmw was in the shop. I didn’t care for it. It felt like too much was going on between me and the road; acceleration left something to be desired, and I thought the brakes were less responsive than I’d have liked. I was surprised and disappointed.
