Please delete the Jesse investigate Hiscox at Harvard thread. People are calling him a fraud and piling on over nothing.
This is a joke, right? The guy clearly made stuff up to put on his CV. He at least has some explaining to do. He's an endowed full professor at a top university and a political adviser to a world leader ffs. This isn't some ABD.

But hey, keep doing whatever you need to avoid having to do any actual work yourself.

it's hard to tell since he's hard to reach. But if you know the story, why don't you enlighten us and end this topic once and for all?

This isn't some ABD.The funny thing is that the two people that are trying really, really hard since yesterday to cover this up, have no explanation, except for "there must be an explanation." Or "it's boring."
I, and others I'm sure, are willing to hear the explanations. But when there are three articles and one book that have been forthcoming for over ten years, it's a little weird. Especially when your job depends on this stuff. Also, I'm not sure how a book that hasn't been published can actually get citations. So, we would like an explanation. If there's a really legit one for these types of actions, then this will get dropped. Promise.

But the articles have not been forthcoming for 10 years. That's just a lie. They have been off the CV for years. And a book that is slow coming out? I'm sure that has never happened in the history of academia.

Promise.People cited the CUP book that was supposed to be in press by 2007, but no one seems to answer the question as to how you can do that. We're not being mean, we just want an answer is all.
Three articles were pulled that were forthcoming. They were forthcoming in 2005. This professor when from associate to professor in 2005.
No idea what to tell you except that you seem just to take things at face value, as opposed to always be questioning. We've been full circle at this for years, because there's never really an explanation. The whole thing is just really odd.

We don't owe you any answers. You're just a bunch of unemployed idiots.
Not a good idea to call some one an idiot when you can't even put together a simple sentence together. You * all * are a bunch...or, you're an unemployed idiot would work, too.
Also, it's not wise to try to use unemployment as an insult in this case, because (if this is a case of CV inflation), lying on a resume/CV can cause someone to lose their job, especially if the document was used to get hired/promoted.
I suggest waiting a hot second before replying, because you're not helping the case at all.
Thanks, and happy trolling.

Baseless accusations to damage the reputation of senior scholarsAccusations going on for years with no real answers to sketchy CV. Therefore, "accusations" will never leave despite if the thread gets deleted. Everything is well documented online, and has been downloaded plus screenshots. Deleting thread will make it seem that professor actually does have something to hide.
So-called senior scholars try to sweep this under the rug (or just trolling), though the thread offers a good lesson to newly minted PhDs and already tenured professors that whatever is on CV is a fair game to be asked about it. Transparency is a great thing. Shutting down those who want transparency never works in the long-run. Will just backfire.
