I am currently a MA student looking to move into a PhD program in the next 2 years. I am interested in studying queer IR and was wondering if you can recommend some good programs. I'm more interested in systemic theorizing than individual level (1st image) type of stuff. Thanks.
a good place to study queer IR?

If OP is serious--and I'm assuming he's not--then I'm totally going to start voting Republican. The existence of "queer IR" would totally validate everything that the GOP claims about the current state of higher education. How would the existence of "Queer IR" be any worse than the absurd spectacle that is our current crop of gender/ethnic/sexual "studies" departments?
I recently was forced to sit on a committee evaluating my university's college of arts and sciences. It required a lot of reading of various disciplines and the research being done at my R1. I'm at a state school, so I know we aren't Harvard or Stanford, but we are still a damn good school. And what passes for scholarship in these departments is a disgrace. It seems like little more than a thinly veiled panacea of intellectualism used as a veneer to cover what is, at least to me, nothing more than the bases political activism and agitation. I am a fairly center-left person, although I have many friends and families members who consider me some far lefty. But I do my best to keep my biases to a minimum in the classroom. I'm open to hearing any viewpoint provided it is argued convincingly. These departments, especially course syllabi, seem to operate under the assumption that everyone who hasn't taken one of these courses is totally wrong. If you have views that diverge from the faculty member, they are wrong. If you do not see the light and tow the party line, you will not pass.
I love my job and there is precious little that makes me feel bad about what I do. But serving on that committee was an eye opener. Any time some pompous econ troll comes over here to question the intellectual honesty or merit of what we do, someone should point them in the direction of their uni's women's or ethnic studies departments.

This deserves a place of honor in the PSR Hall of Fame.

They actually have a lively thread about this very subject over there right now! Check out Fruits and Votes and get the info direct from the horse's mouth.

I don't know where you are getting all this stuff, it has nothing to do with IR. I need to go back to preparing my lecture for my IR intro class, and it isn't any of this BS. We are looking at the issue of missiles buried deep in shafts and silos and when the finger touches the button in the the right way the head explodes all over the other guy.
