   American just helped the IR market quite a bit, and it's a great place to be if you want to avoid people outside of IR at all costs (rocky relationship between SIS and SPA).

   Most AP's in SPA at AU are non-tenure-track term faculty, so there is always the chance that many leave at once or the department has a hiring spree.

    It seems to me that for the past 3-4 years, AU has gotten much stronger after being a joke for 20 years and is looking to strengthen itself in American Politics. Leighley, Lublin, Lawless, O'Connor, Nelson, and Yoshinaka are a good start. Losing Hayes and Karol so quickly definitely didn't help.
