Haven't gotten my rejection notice yet.
Any word on the IR position at Towson?

^Serious question, what makes you confident MR got the job? She did her PhD 5 years ago and hasn't been TT to my knowledge anywhere and hasn't published anything in 4 years. Granted, she's an adjunct in the Dept. At any rate, I've heard through the grapevine they've been doing interviews.

You are obviously their first choice because you are super talented and your research agenda is stunningly impressive. They seem to be having trouble with your email address. Contact the department today and get this all straightened out. You will all have a good laugh about the confusion. Life is crazy sometimes, isn't it?

No, I think you should get directly involved in the process. Your insights and guidance could really help Towson make the right choice.
Emilee, I (Christelle in the OP) did not get invited for an interview because I didn't apply. I'm passing along info about a former grad colleague who did apply and did interview. If it's a done-deal for the inside hire, then I should probably let her know.
