What is the typical chance of getting your panel rescheduled due to teaching? I figured it makes you look like a tool but was wondering if it might be worth it.

What is the typical chance of getting your panel rescheduled due to teaching? I figured it makes you look like a tool but was wondering if it might be worth it.
Rule #5: Panel Scheduling
Panels are scheduled in fourteen (14) time slots beginning at 8:00 AM on Thursday and concluding at 12:00 PM on Sunday. Participants are expected to be available for any of the fourteen time slots.
If your schedule is limited by a teaching or travel constraint, inform the chair of the division to which your panel was accepted by March 28, 2014, or immediately upon your acceptance as a participant. Because of the volume of panels during the meeting, we regret that we cannot guarantee that scheduling requests can be honored.

Wow. APSA took that sh*t down right quick.
That is the negative aspect of posting back doors into APSA's conference program. Eventually they find out and then quickly shut it down. I had discovered one a few years, used it for two years, and then posted about it in either 2011 or 2012. APSA shut it down relatively quickly and I couldn't find another one until last weekend.
I don't feel guilty since I found the information both time through Goggle. To be honest, I would stop trying if someone gave me a halfway decent not to do it. I understand that it isn't in "proper release format" yet but it seems bogus to hold off travel plans just because the data display isn't pretty.

Deadline to register for APSA extended until June 15th. Is this a sign that APSA will soon collapse as more and more people decline to shell out hundreds of dollars for a couple of days of tepid presentations, awkward introductions, and grossly expensive meals?
Not if you sleep under a bridge!
