What compromises have Democrats made?
Obama keeping Bush-era DEA chief for 6 years
Except for all the ones named in this thread. It's funny to watch your question completely backfire lol.
Name them.
look upthread
corporate taxes (21% instead of 20%: compromise)
bush tax cuts (1.35 trillion instead of 1.6 trillion: compromise)
NCLB (more special ed than GOP wanted; no vouchers)
etc.
why don't you do your own research, kiddo? These are only some of the most prominent examples. The 104th Congress is also full of compromise where some of the elements of the Contract with America had to be nixed. It's well know, I'm surprised there are political scientists who aren't aware of that.

oh well if we're going down that route, then Bush kept Mineta on his cabinet for 5 years: long-term Democratic House member, Commerce Secretary under Clinton, former Democratic mayor.
it's super easy, really, if you follow US politics closely.

^Thinks paying 15% interest on a house that cost $35k was a sacrifice
Boomer clowns going down in history as the greatest morons ever.

Wow! what a sacrifice.
In conclusion, righty still can't name one compromise in 20 years. We're not on page 4.
I reject the OP's time frame. 20 years? Why pick that time frame. Easy, because the post-Reagan era has been an effort by conservatives to eliminate 30 years of post New Deal policymaking, LBJ "war on poverty" politics. I always get a kick out of Progressives who can't understand why the right engages in judicial activism when they basically condoned legislating from the bench for 40 years prior to Scalia. And then the right fights back and Progressives be like, "you're not playing by the rules."

I remember when Clinton cut welfare programs because Gingrich said the debt was too high.
Of course, Gingrich compromised by pursuing multiple partisan witch hunts against Clinton.

And I remember when Clinton signed "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"... before the entire Democrat party decided that the law should be used to force business owners to cater gay weddings.

Must've been hard for conservatives to swallow. How did you manage to survive?
I think you're missing the point. I'm not making a policy argument, I'm saying both sides have become more extreme relative to where they used to be.

thank you for admitting that Republicans compromised.
lol no counter argument. OP completely OWNED lol!

I remember when Gingrich couldn't enact the Contract with America because Clinton was president. So, the GOP compromised with the president.
Win win win. And OP lost lol

I'm saying you're insane. Both parties have shifted to the right. Republicans are full blown psychotic now. Dems are just trying to carefully talk them down from the tower at this point.
