The Daniel Patrick Moynihan Center for Scholarship and Statesmanship at Assumption College seeks an inaugural Daniel Patrick Moynihan Postdoctoral Fellow for the 2018-2019 academic year. Named for one of the foremost exemplars of the scholar-statesman in recent American political life, the one-year fellowship, which may be renewable, entails a 2-1 teaching load and some responsibilities helping to organize Center activities. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in political science. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an interest in the intersection of theory and practice or in other areas of American political institutions and thought connected with Moynihan, as well as share a commitment to a venerable understanding of political science based on enduring questions and ideas. Applicants must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the College as well as show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption College.
