Why would anyone nay ^? You want penalizing people who booked hotels early and only had to cancel reservations due to the pandemic? If you booked with hotels directly, you wouldn't be charged if you cancel a few days in advance. Why should APSA still charge you when the reason for cancellation is a pandemic?

I nayed it because people should thak some responsibility for their own choices. It's comically easy to book a no-cost cancelable room; APSA has a very stupid policy that penalizes people who book through them for whatever reason, but it's not a secret policy. If you want the flexibility to make a late, cost-free cancellation, you should have booked in a manner that allowed that, which also happens to be the normal way most people book hotel rooms!

You're forgetting that something called Delta has surged after people booked hotels through APSA. They are not cancelling hotels for their idiosyncratic/personal reasons, but for unforeseen public health issues. And cancelling is not just for their own sake but may benefit others too. The APSA policy was not meant for situations like this, and you agree that it is stupid. And yet you think they should not change the policy when we have a public health crisis? You probably have a warped heart.
