   That lawsuit wasn't about accuracy or integrity. It was about an American Yahadi calling him a "racist." He sued her and failed to prove that he wasn't.
   Some very funny racist statements in that trial to be sure!

   The lawsuit was ill advised because the onus was on him to prove he does not hold racist views. But thinking the trial debunked his historical research is untrue.

   PS, Irving's daughter committed su7cide during the trial and a member of the Z1onist community sent Irving a wreath mocking the personal tragedy. So yeah, these people come straight from the dev;il's anu;s.

   Plenty of things are discredited. This is what it means to be part of a community of professional scholars who can identify errors, omissions, and distortions in your work.
   I'm guessing you don't really understand what it means to be an academic.

   Sure asking if books are discredited by your "community" of professional scholars sound totes intellectual. But I think you were clear you are a professional scholar not an intellectual.

   I read whatever I want even stuff I don't use or agree with and decide what to think for myself. Maybe that is no longer the way in academia. But I read a lot so I am not concerned if I read a few chapters and decide something is not useful. Most if not all work has errors, omissions, and distortions.

   I am sure the community decides the accreditation list with no errors, omissions, or distortions though so you can depend on that. Sounds like a junior high school in Texas....oh what a scholar!

   Worth reading. Bottom line is the hard forensic evidence for the 5hoah is very poor. And many of the eye witness accounts turned out to be falsifications motivated by financial gain and revenge.

   This is simply not true. The trial was in the English courts, which means that the burden of proof was on the defendants (in this case, the publisher and Lipstadt). Even with this considerably lowered bar, Irving failed to prove that he was not a racist who massaged the facts in order to push his agenda-driven historical narrative.

   You should try reading up on the trial/controversy some time.
