Email to the AJPS Board:
Dear AJPS Editorial Team,
You have made it clear you are unwilling to investigate Enos' results if the complaint comes from me. Never mind that it doesn't matter how you became aware of the data errors. What matters is that you are now fully aware that his dataset has hundreds of observations that are missing or different from official data, and that the missing observations are unfavorable to his pet theory. The results in the AJPS article are not truthful and accurate to the best of your knowledge.
You have also made it explicitly clear that you are willing to investigating if someone other than me puts their name to the allegations. Therefore would you be willing to accept a formal complaint from Gregg Re, cc'd, who is a producer at Fox News?
If no -- can you please outline under which conditions you would be willing to accept a complaint? Does having a PhD magically make someone better able to see these simple data errors? If so, I would be happy to find a professor to put their name to the complaint. Please let me know.
Thanks,
Christopher Brunet
