A lot of small LACs are going to close in the next decade, which is sad but probably for the best--whatever students they manage to recruit almost certainly will be better off attending either a better resources LAC positioned to survive, or saving money at attending a regional state university. Can anyone really make the case a B student from the UP would be better off with a Finlandia degree than with a NMU degree and considerably less debt and/or more money?
