EJMR mod here. If PSR works anything like our site, then there's no way for mods to view the deleted posts. The deletion log only displays the last X deleted posts and threads, or else posts and threads deleted within the X hours, depending on the current settings.
If mods knew he relevant post IDs, then they could enter them manually into a special URL to restore them. However, post IDs are indexed across all threads, so mods would have to restore a large swath of unrelated posts in order to restore anything that might fall within this thread.
Mr. Singal might want to try emailing Kirk.* He has access to deleted posts in the database, even after a year, as we've seen on EJMR.

All I can say as a researcher is that the results could be biased now because of how much attention this case has garnered and people know what the experiment is about (i.e. people will change their behavior if they know more details about the experiment then they are supposed to know and right now they know that people think that the are more or less intolerant based on who is interviewing them).

To put it simply, I would be very skeptical of the results of future surveys on this.

Thanks, you stupid unemployed jackasses. We had a chance to give Singal some good info about this case. It was interesting and amusing that someone had figured out the hoax months ago. If it was Broockman (I have no reason to believe it was) then his timeline is not honestly reported. If it was someone else, then who is this mystery bro? Now you've just browbeaten Singal with idiocy, and I wouldn't blame him if he never came back. Pretty clear why so many of you will wind up working in some cubicle in a DHS basement complaining about your stolen stapler.

One hypothesis: Possibly Aronow, who had no intention to pursue this further. Until Don Green, after having been alerted by Broockman, asked him for a favor, and he couldn't say no.

Does anyone remember for sure if they were posted in this thread? If so, the PSR mods should know the exact post ID, which according to the EJMR mod who posted earlier should enable them to recover the deleted posts without restoring everything else that was deleted.

If there ever were in any in this thread, they were deleted prior to the caching.

As the person said above, the mods here only have access to a limited number of recently deleted posts and threads. The least recent ones that I can see are all from about a day or two ago--perhaps because things have been super busy here. Ids? If mods can see those, I have no idea how. No one gave the mods an instruction manual for doing this stuff. I only discovered how to find the recently deleted stuff a few weeks ago.

Due to getting interviewed by the journalist who posted here, I tried to articulate both my modding standards and how they might have applied to the post in question http://saideman.blogspot.com/2015/05/psr-news-and-moderating-rules.html. However, to be clear, I honestly do not remember deleting it, as there is simply so much traffic here. It may have been me, it may have been someone else.

As I said in another thread, there was a ton of homophobic posts mixed in with the respectful ones, so there was definitely a legitimate reason to kill it. I bumped the previous thread in the hope that identifying the original thread may allow it to be restored if possible. PSR may have functioned as an early warning system in this case.

The august data set was posted via onionshare/tor a few times. One poster analyzed it and another posted results using STATA code. The deletion thread mentions the highlights of the findings. This was late December, not January as reported. The Hoax thread was stated after most of the major analyses had been posted. It was all anonymous because nobody wanted to go on record criticizing a big name like Don Green. That could kill a junior scholar's career as the discussion of Cho mentioned in the deletion thread had pointed out.
