How does that make sense? Most countries legalized it, yet U.S. can't?
If the U.S. is a free country, why is prostitution illegal?

First reason is the same reason with why organs are not sold
Second reason is in many countries where prostiution is legal, it ends up violating individual rights and “freedom” of prostitutes. It tends to entail human traffic, kidnapping etc in poorer countries. It also tends to become a source of mafia money. -

Farm and factory workers can be hidden away in the third world where no one has to see them suffer. That's no reason to ban prostitution.

In reality, many countries that legalized prostitution also consider criminalizing them back for the second reason.
