tenured theorist here. i read the dissertation. it is very, very good. could have been made into a book, maybe two. sad that he didnt pursue a serious career of scholarship. instead he sh1tposts alt-right nonsense with occasional tinges of truth but overwhelmingly his points in BAP are obnoxious, offensive and just kinda handwavy. a real shame, couldve been a good scholar.

Logan, you’re likely going to get irrelevant info from his academic acquaintances and wrong info from many others.
I do know that after his disillusionment with academia, he headed to India for a break. In Varanasi, he met a Naga Sadhu who offered to teach him Shaivic meditation techniques, and took him to an ashram tucked away in one of the Himalayan mountains. It is said that CA spent 3 years there. After mastering all eight of the traditional Siddhis, he felt a strong calling to *go down*, in the language of his western teacher Nietzsche, as his *cup* was full and about to overflow:

So down he went, first to Himachal Pradesh, then to New Delhi. That is where my knowledge of this episode ends. Did he go back to America? Or to Japan as he’d originally planned, to the land of another one of his dear teachers, Mishima? I do not know.
