   I had a paper rejected for Baltimore that's forthcoming in an ISA journal (wasn't yet accepted when I submitted it for this year); very bizarre

   I got two things accepted, but the email was weirdly generic (Congratulations you're a participant!) and the link to "my schedule" showed nothing and said if nothing shows up you've had nothing accepted, but when I searched the schedule I found I appeared twice.

   The first ever time to get rejected by ISA (in fact, by any conference).

   Oh, man. Same here. Been accepted to ISA every year as well, but not this year. I kind of like attending ISA, although not too keen on Baltimore. Oh, well :-/

   It is amazing how simplistically so called social scientists treat conference acceptance: my proposal/paper is good/not good; it's qual bias/quant bias; venue is small/large. Could it possibly be there are a lot more variables at play in your small N observed outcome? Nahh, why think about it.
