Bipartisanship is overrated. If I wanted everyone to agree, I'd want a single party state.
It's fine as an exercise in improving inter-party relations, and at it's best when it helps promote issues over politics.
But it ceases to function if only one party is ever called on to produce it for the exclusive benefit of the other party, and that's where we've been at for a long time.
