Does anyone know when the new USNews rankings for Political Science grad schools is going to be published? I think it's supposed to be this year but don't know what month.
New USNews Rankings?

People here vastly overestimate how the rankings will change. We will probably see some minor CHYMPS reshuffling and, yes, NYU breaking into the top 10, but that's it.
Indeed. They are averaged across current and past years, every new ranking it becomes harder and harder to move. In the top 20 there's only every any significant movement at the 7-13 range, and the 15-20 range. Then some minor shuffling within tiers once in a while. Very little changes.

According to the methodology on their website, they no longer average across multiple years. The scores are based on the most recent survey only.
Note that if we look at the Wayback Machine, this sentence used to be there back in 2015:
"Except in criminology, survey results from fall 2008 and fall 2012 were averaged to compute the scores. This was the first time that U.S. News averaged two years of results for Ph.D. programs in the social sciences and humanities."After the 2016 survey results were published in 2017, they removed this paragraph. So, from that we must infer that they no longer take an average of multiple years.
