NYU or Chicago for comparative?

Go to Chicago for more broad-based training in comparative. You'll get pushed much harder to make theoretical contributions to the field. Their methods training has also improved in recent years with new hires. Go to NYU if you want to become a more technical person and want to set yourself up well for a non-academic job. No shade at all if that's what you want, but NYU is seen as offering more narrow albeit very good quantitative and formal training.
