With very VERY broad definitions of what is considered triggering
How would you respond?
lol.
two years ago, students in my department voted to have each syllabus be comprised of >50% non-white-american-male authors (so Socrates and Kant are woke friendly).
they further demanded that every faculty who didn't comply would be required to "explain on the syllabus – and directly to students – why this goal was not met." so they wanted Maoist struggle sessions.
we all just nodded sagely, thanked them warmly, and did nothing. these do-nothing grad students have the academic life-span of a house fly.
just wait for them to disappear.

Link or it didn't happen
This would never happen in Florida. We’re not allowed to discuss ANYTHING that would make ANYONE uncomfortable.
1. FL mandates are for schools. Little kids. Grad students are training to become intellectuals, pros at dealing with "uncomfortable" ideas. Are you not ashamed to be making that comparison?
2. FL mandates are very narrow, related to race, in reaction to overt anti-white racism from CRT zealots. The "comfort" language is used cynically(they dont deny it) to beat the wokes in their own game. No More Mr. Nice Dad. No more adhering the "principles" that the other side discards. No more bringing kn1ves to gu9f1ghts. No more.

Good, easier for you to chute yourselves in the foot
To state the obvious: you're lying, and everyone reading this knows it (including those who pretend to believe you because they enjoy anti-woke culture warring).
Correct take ^

To state the obvious, you’re delusional. Sure this may not happen at every department, or even at every department with a lot of progressives. But in some places, it can be that circumstances conspire to get people to sign on to blatantly ridiculous demands, even when the faculty would be very receptive to a more reasonable version. Now, I’m glad it’s never happened to you, but don’t presume to know the culture of every PhD cohort in every department.
