Bump... I like that when Gary King reverses course and says matching increases model dependence everyone jumps on board, but this kid gets criticized heavily. smh.... this guy is right, matching is dumb.
Where did King claim that matching increases model dependence?
Hint: King never claimed that, you are just making things up.

This was perhaps the most infamous and mocked presentation in PolMeth history: Michael Miller's "The Case Against Matching," presented at the 2013 PolMeth meeting.
See the earlier pages on this thread to understand how poorly this paper was received, both at the in-person conference as well as online (including in Justin Esarey's blog).
It's now 10 years later. Michael Miller's paper is...still unpublished.
