In a span of just over two years, it went from being “the best seminar experience (shh!) I’ve had” to a place we all need to boycott because of how anti-LGBT it is. Sad!
PZ Stabs BYU in the Back

Well interestingly, he must be aware of the flip-flop he made because within the last day or two he deleted the Twitter exchange captured by the cached Google link above.
Always make sure you have all your ducks in a row before engaging in hypocritical virtue-signaling.

Regular band of allies not backing him up, and he has a few that are know ‘round these parts. If RPV won’t retest/reply, who will?
By the way, has ANYBODY else in the discipline endorsed (via a retweet or some other medium) PZ’s proposed boycott? Input would be helpful here.

It's not uncommon for people to avoid costs to themselves. So you go to BYU when it suits you, but you "boycott" a conference you probably weren't going to.
It reminds me of the NOLA boycott episode. So many people "boycotted" it but wouldn't boycott SF after CA voters passed prop. 8. At the time, the argument was the NOLA was a "super DOMA" state whereas CA was merely a DOMA state, so that's why boycotting the former but not the latter made sense.
I remember those people were then asked to reiterate that they were OK with a bit of discrimination, just as long as it wasn't too much. They never did. Oh well.
An easier explanation was that they never wanted to go to NOLA in the first place (too many blacks, southern, too hot), whereas SF was a prime destination. But hey, to each their own.

A few. AC and others. It was amusing seeing PZ virtue signal on Twitter on the lines of "Hurr Durr I talked with Kozuke Imai we are in agreement thunder buddies for life". What an idiot!
