Talking to these kids is depressing
Teaching is depressing now

Depressing to see how little hope they have for the future.
I've never seen a group of kids who feel so totally fguked. They aren’t drinking. f—king, driving, wilding
https://twitter.com/richardhanania/status/1629950824532295680Imagine caring about politics or climate when young. My generation cared only about getting our kicks at that age.
More broadly the death of God has been followed up by the death of Man(and hence optimism and courage). Women are much more neurotic than men, is it any surprise that their increasing influence has made everything g1oomy.

If we're going back to national spirits to explain political phenomenon, we might as well just nuke ourselves and let the world get on without the U.S.

If we're going back to national spirits to explain political phenomenon, we might as well just nuke ourselves and let the world get on without the U.S.These are easily verifiable facts:
1. Kids aren’t taking risks or having fun
2. Women are more neurotic than me
3. Women have more influence in all aspects of life including raising and educating kids, than ever before -
But Arnaude perfectly demonstrates the self-loathing that Rorty derided. Haters and losers get nothing done, except to depress others. Get out of the way
Dislike of fundamentally flawed reasoning equals self loathing in your world....
Hmmm. You should probably dig into what that means a little deeper. Definitely seems to be a bit of introspection needed regarding that statement.

Anyway I’m a conservative. I don’t need “reason”. Any deviation from tradition is enough “reason” for me. Why don’t you investigate what’s wrong with kids, honestly, Ms Neurosis?

If someone who can't understand the basic selection effect they're talking about (concluding that women are more neurotic when in reality women just talk about their problems while men commit svicide and become mass shooters) were the one making decisions for the country, I would 100% stand by that statement.

^ I’m not going to engage on the neuroticism question further. Thats the psychology version of debating flat earth with physicists.
But I’d really like to know; now that I have your attention: how often have you lamented the state of affairs of this country, condemned its past or present? Of this world? What psychological influence do you think that has had on your students or peers?

In fact, to the extent I deal with the U.S. at all it tends to be the World Ware and Cold War, in which the U.S. is pretty unequivocally the good guy.
You still seem to be confusing my loathing for YOUR ideas with self loathing. And I've seen you miss the meaning of "might as well all jump off a cliff" statements before on PSR. It's modern vernacular. You might learn it so you can communicate with your students.
