So, I just got out of an APSA panel on CV's (Columbia Law) new book, Systemic Corruption (Princeton). Was anyone else there? The comments in the chat by a woman named Ana were insane! They totally exposed CV for being part of the Chilean dictatorship. I copied the comments.
The wildest APSA panel I have ever seen...

The comments in the chat during were even wilder, but they probably make little sense detached from the recording as they were often in direct response to CV's subsequent remarks, which were hilariously all over the place.
Above all, I felt kind of bad for the co-panelists, who, after giving such over-the-top praise, seemed almost shell-shocked.

If there was ever a real argument for cancel culture, I think it would be CV. Disgusting that she got so far talking about plebians and corruption, etc., when she is literally part of the oligarchic elite causing the corruption.
It's like reading a book on corruption by Ivanka Trump, or thinking Exxon are good people for building new businesses to suck the carbon out of the air that they put there.

I think the section on the NYC apartment answers your question -
honest question as someone who wasn't there: why can't it just be the case that she disagrees with her parents (like many people here & their tr*mpist family members) but doesn't want to denounce them publicly (like many people here & their tr*mpist family members)?
