What was special about this small island in the middle of the Indian Ocean, thousands of miles from civilization, inhabited by a handful of French scientists?
Answer: Strict lockdowns and masks.
We could learn a lot from them.
New Zealand has 5 million people. It beat COVID.
Hawaii could easily do the same if they could regulate their own borders and keep the Haole out.
Yep. On both counts.
Vietnam = 96 million
Taiwan = 23 million
Both beat COVIDWas there a point to that post?
Yeah, that even non-desolated and highly-densely-populated countries can beat COVID. If it can be done in Vietnam and Taiwan, then it could be done anywhere. There are no excuses.
Nobody has beat covid, stewpid.
Covid is the new cold/flu.
Sure, if you define "beat" in some super-restrictive sense that defies popular usage. But the fact remains: some places have done much, much, much better than others on the basis of their public health policies.
