Post There are some great points here. Thanks. In my mind it's a trade of between substantive interest and quality of training. I find most of what I read in econ journals boring as fvck, but would probably benefit from theory rigorous methods etc. Down the road I'd much rather teach polisci stuff than econ stuff, but does that matter as much as salary? Not sure. Not the easiest choice.
