Well, looks like another meeting with the Diversity Dean for me on Tuesday

I sent an email to colleagues on Friday in which I signed off wishing them "a restful and happy long weekend."

Of course Monday is MLK day and the university is closed.

One chick sent a really snippy email saying that I was insensitive, "MLK Day is not like Memorial Day where you go to the beach and have a cookout. It is a day of reflection on rayshcism, and you are demeaning it by telling us to be 'happy.'" She then promised to forward my email to the Diversity Dean.

Good grief. I'll update once I get the email from said Dean.
