What's the point of impeaching someone who is not the president anymore?

To ban the person from ever holding elected political office again. And also to strip an ex-president of privileges like Secret Service protection, a pension, access to classified intelligence, etc.
It would be great to prevent him from ever running for office, and strip him of any privileges. The steps beyond that -- investigate his business dealings closely for any criminal activites, ties to Putin, etc. Hopefully it'll end with him becoming a resident at Guantanamo Bay.

Lol. It’s not going to happen though. It’s because the dems know trumps up to something and they’ll be the first casualties when democracy is restored to America.

Nancy is obsessed with him and wants to keep involved
This is all the dems know how to do. This is all they've done for four years, and it's all they're going to do in the immediate future.
In a sense we should be grateful that they're not running up the debt by a few trillion more dollars, but that's coming too.
