As it is, higher education is just about worthless for finding a job. Unless you're studying to be a doctor, you'll have brighter career prospects in a trade. Even the idea that STEM was the future has clearly been shot down. I keep meeting STEM people stuck in minimum wage jobs.

Roofie bad choice but sparks or chippie is mostly indoor work and you being self-employed you can choose the jobs you want. You get the apprentice anyway to do the grunt work.
