She does not have two APSRs.
i said forthcoming. she does not have them yet. but coming soon. she told me and i am not lying.
lol so basically even Asian Americans get hired if they’re women.
Baffling how someone with no papers besides a coauthored JPR should get any R1 job let alone Harvard
She does not have two forthcoming APSRs. If she does and she isn't updating her CV, she needs professionalization training.
Happens all the time across R1 departments. Publications are not the only marker of competency.
professionalization training for what? she already got a harvard job. you?
your excellent professionalization training helped?
It’s clear that someone who lists 4 working papers as “journal articles” already needs professionalization training.

Keep whining. She got into Stanford and clearly had glowing letters from her advisor.

Jealous much? Maybe go work on your research and spend less time reading CVs.
bcz there were no applicants with a publication better than a coauthored jpr with good letters hahahahahaha

Female privilege
Can't be that, half of Harvard's offers went to a male candidate.
What were their publication records? Harvard found no women with records better than a single paper with faculty in a third tier journal. This hire just made 4.5 political scientists more sexist. Somebody told me.
I mean, I’m sure she will do fine in the next few years.
But this is one of the many cases where pedigree and resources get showered on individuals for simply getting into the right ‘track’ of programs and doing the right ‘kind’ of resource.
Look at all those fellowships and grants she won. Which I’m sure she worked hard to get. But look at all those resources and what has she done with it? Nothing. But don’t worry, I’m sure she’ll get a whole slew of research grants and course releases at Harvard.
The wheel keeps churning.

It’s cute how she feels she earned it.
